The Robinson Lab studies the ecology and evolution of biotic interactions. Our interests are diverse, but we tend to unite around native plants, insect herbivores, and food web structure in a changing West. We believe in grounding our work in natural history, and building knowledge that advances basic science while informing stewardship of the natural world.

Some members of the Robinson Lab scout for native caterpillars along the Snake River in Idaho, with friends of the Lab Nick Pardikes (USU); David L. Wagner (UCONN); and Anne Halford (Idaho State Botanist; BLM).
